Thank you kindly Tek,
Game 5 was a close fought match with Rocky Balboa getting knocked out in the 1st round, and 48 hours wasnt long enough to keep them in the next round either. So E.T The Extra Terrestrial has to wait a little while longer before phoning home as it goes through as the seeded winner, followed by the Police Academy guys who shared the same votes as 48 hours but reached the target first, everyone to the Blue Oyster bar for a celebration!

Another round of great movies for me, I like Blues Brothers the least out of the four even though it's still great.
I have no shame in saying I love Top Gun, cheesy as fuck, saw it in a late night showing a few years ago full of fans and it was one of the best/funniest atmospheres I have been to watching a film. And I will be hated for saying this but I think Tom Cruise is a very underrated actor. Just watch his understated acting in Rain Man and Magnolia.
Also I loved Chevy Chase in the 80's, and when I grew up I loved Steve Martin even more, but it's Martin Short who steals the movie for me in the Three Amigo's. Love it! He also was in another great 80's film I loved with Nick Nolte called Three Fugitives, and Innerspace with Dennis Quaid, both movies sadly not in this comp. This movie was actually Martin Short's film debut.
But my vote goes to The Empire Strikes Back. I am a Star Wars whore, it's not even my favourite (that's Return of the Jedi!) but there is only a couple of movies I would vote over Empire in this competition and they haven't been drawn yet

No sir I did have a friend who entertained some Scientologists when they were handing out leaflets for their church in Edinburgh, stupid eejit gave them his email and they hounded him for years after. To each his own I suppose.
If I'm honest I'm easy going, nonpartisan, when it comes to religion, and I fully respect someone else's choice, as long as it doesn't do or cause anyone else harm. I don't really follow any religion myself as such, but my hats off to people who can use their faith for good.
I was one of those pricks who wrote 'Jedi Knight' as their religion in the last census a few years ago. Yes I am a twat
Will still probably write that in the next one as well though
And yes I do have 80's tinted spectacles on as well
The 90's wasn't so shabby either

Score update:
Three Amigos: 2
Top Gun: 0
The Blues Brothers: 3
The Empire Strikes Back: 4.
This has been quite a high scoring round so far, would people like me to keep the 9pm deadline for tomorrow night or change it to 9am in the morning so we can get another game going asap. I'm easy and can do either time.
In any event would someone be so kind and give me 4 numbers from 1-36 please!

Thank you Tek, I am enjoying doing it, I now realise how much work you have to put in for it so hats off to you for doing all the competitions before
The wife works full time as well so I get to play Mr Mum (another decent 80's film!) during the day. The girls help me pick the movie posters to put up, but their other favourite 80's films havent come out yet in this competition. I was in the dog house for a while because I didnt let their all time favourite film in, which is currently on loop in my house at the minute

The movie posters have been top notch so far; Highlander, 48 Hours, Ferris Buller, Platoon and Gregory's Girl are fantastic. Favourites so far:
(Still need to get this and frame it!)
