Although the guy I play golf with up here's son in law is a Basque and supports Bilbao. Thon support in the Camp Nou last week was sensational and they just have a new Stadium next to their old one.

1995 was a tough year as lost my mum aged 52 to bowel cancer and in April I got divorced, so in July I fooked off to America for the first time in my life with a kilt and a rucksack. Flew Birmingham (I was in Manchester the day before at a cousin's wedding0 to JFK then flew to Memphis. Went to Graceland and then Phoenix, Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, LA,, up the old coast road to San Fran, Buffalo/ Niagara and then down to The Big Apple. I stayed in Midtown Manhattan in a hostel (with a pet cockroach for company) and it was over 100 degrees and no AC/ I went to see Apollo 13 at 2 in the morning just to get out of the heat!!!

That was my Chateaux D'Espair moment!!!

For the older ones - I once slept outside Tannadice after we played Dundee at Dens as the next morning tickets were going on sale for the European Cup Semi v Roma and I was first in the Q.....

Anyone of my vintage recognise anyone in the photo?

And Bugsy this is for you re my Kiawah Island answer.....this is as close as my mate would go to take a pic of me doing my Steve Irwin thing trying to get a close up of a huge Gator. Note my Tangerine golf shoes and me watching out incase there is another lurking in the reeds!!!
