Season review

Well we end the season 5th in a season that promised so much at the start. We have ended up with no silverware and no european competition to look forward to in 2015/16.

Looking back to July/August there was a real buzz about the support record season ticket sales 1000 arabs down to leeds pre season a a great day had by all everyone looking forward to the season ahead.

After selling Gauld and Robertson we start off well although not playing the best we got results and picked up alot of points still alot of unde par poor performances but we got results in games that was the main thing.

Mid season we sell another 2 major squad players and it seems to tear the heart clean out the rest of the squad the next 4 month on and off the field became a total disaster for dundee united losing another cup final and our first dundee derby in 10 years.

Thank fuck we won against dundee today but imo it will just paper over the cracks for alot of fans.

This summer we will see a few new additions to the squad i assume with a few departing. Its a pitty we cant get rid of anier and bilate as id imagine they are both on good wages. Also be interesting to see if and who the new keeper we will bring in although sadly i think he will go for szromnick.
Like the look of Muirhead and i think next season will be a good one for him and the likes of Connolly Telfer and spittal.
Good to see Ali Coote getting a run out still a young one and will do him good.

Off field i wonder if we will see any changes to the club and if so how major they will be.

Roll on next season.

Re: Season review

Massive close season ahead, on and off the park. This close season could dictate which way the club heads for the next 5/6 years given the league looks like it'll be a lot stronger next year. Investment in the squad must be right to complement the core of a decent squad we have or it could be the start of a slide.

Re: Season review

Season ended up being a bit of a wet pump. A few highs a few lows. We should have finished higher than 5th but any team would have suffered selling 4 players of real quality.

Who knows what will happen next season but there have been a few positives in last month or so. Dixon will get better. McGowan will be a really good signing. We'll have a new keeper. Muirhead looks good.

Season was 'ruined' by 4 games against an average Celtic side who are miles ahead of any other team in league. By miles.

Could be worse. Could be Hibs

Re: Season review

Some plus points - our record against Aberdeen has improved on last seasons, which was dreadful and utimately cost us a european spot last season. Its just a pity we were not able to capitalise on it with regards to other results which let us down this season.

Sticking 15 goals by Dundee is always good entertainment, I never tire of it.

Agree, something that must be worked on, we cannot simply sacrifice 12 points.

Tommy Wright is no tactical genius, he looks more like a serial killer than a football manager.

"Yes!! I got away with it."

"Of course Officer, I would be happy to help you with your enquiries. On the 29th I was at my Brass Rubbing group."

"What do you mean they have found the murder weapon....."
