Did you ever kick a ba' yerself, if so amateur, juvenile, junior or senior ?
Very keen amateur, Angus or Midlands on Saturday, Sunday morning and Welfare was a typical weekend.
Must of played against you at some point as I'll be a Heinzer in July, played Angus/Midlads/Juvenile/Junior and Sunday morning and afternoon at various times, had mare clubs than Jack Nicklaus
Dryburgh Athletic in Sunday boys then St Columba's u/16s. Shamrock in Juvies then Springfield on Saturday and Strathtay Sunday morning/Sidlaw Sunday afternoon. Formed Birkdale with mate for Saturday when we were both on the bench and I'd been told it was because the grass was too long. 😕 Final of North of Tay two years later. 😊

As you well know, there were no divers in our era, but there were certainly defenders willing to stick in a leg that could be kicked resulting in an unavoidable penalty.
Sorry Stobes5, is that vulture or stallion?

From about 7 to 10, stood at the front of the Shed on a ramp towards Sandeman St that let me see over the wall. 10 to 15 ascended up the Shed depending on crowd. 15 onwards watched from anywhere even including pre-fair play area for Grasshoppers.
Tended to watch games after that, where possible, with two mates roughly in my auld man's position that would roughly be K20 of GFL.
After hanging up boots got ST through the earlier equivalent of Club83 for GFL120? then 125 and been there ever since in a very content state, generally.
FWIW, had no involvement in any violence, unsurprisingly.

Apologies, Arabugsy for missing the Q&A. Top poster IMO. Yourself and the Stobie brothers have been positive and glass half full, in a very difficult time where passions are running high and opinions have been strongly divided. Hats off to you and I really hope that I can say in the end that you were right.

Springfield in Fife is awesome. I grew up and lived there for 13 years.
