Tannadice catering?

Do we still use those Lindley cowboys?  I've never used the catering for years now. I usually stop at the burger van before the game lol. Now that we don't have to drop oor drawers to anybody waving the cash I wondered if Utd would consider getting someone else in. Anyone heard anything?

Gregg's?

I sincererly hope not, but Lindleys has to go.

The communcal thing for the club to do would be to ensure that the contract goes to a quality local catering firm. Nicols would be an ideal choice,

Also need to get the divvy yopper who work behind the counters on training courses. The speed of the service and standard of service in general is shocking. Worst out of all Scottish grounds, bar none (I have never been arsed queuing at Pittodrie)

Re: Tannadice catering?

At the start of last season 13-14, we had 1 year left on the Lindleys deal (meaning It would end this summer) BUT Lindleys offered us cash up front to extend the deal till may 2015. So we obviously took It.

So Linley's have paid United so we can buy their pies. Would've thought that even United would make more money by getting in a decent caterer which folk would buy more grub from, rather thsn accepting bribes.

Re: Tannadice catering?

It wouldn't surprise me if United just accepted another deal with Lindleys again at the end of this season. Its not as if the club don't know the fans hate the stuff on offer from Lindleys as well as the unemployables who serve it, its been raised at countless Arabtrust Q & A's over the last 10 years and I'm sure the Fed will have raised it too, but all you get back is, "If you don't like it don't buy it."  Utd appear to be quite happy to simply take the money up front rather than ensuring punters get decent grub and service at a reasonable price.

Too much commotion

You're right, it's purely a commercial decision to gain most revenue. I've decided the fare and service on offer is not for me and I console myself with the fact that Utd are maximising income.

Some rumbling belly in the Dode at times and I hope Lindley's go into liquidation after charging customers too much and paying staff too little, resulting in decimated turnover.
