St.Johnstone v's Dundee Utd - Saturday 9th May @3pm

So looks like our season's became a straight shoot-out for 4th now between us and St.Johnstone.

McNamara's record in Perth doesn't give much cause for optimism either...

St Johnstone 1 (Craig 90) DUFC 1 (Gauld 24)
St.Johnstone 3 (May 20,57+87) DUFC 0
St.Johnstone 2 (Anderson 32 May 76) DUFC 0
St.Johnstone 2 (O'Halloran 76 Millar 86) DUFC 1 (Butcher 43)
Played 4 Won 0 Drew 1 Lost 3 For 2 Against 8

Throw in 3 other losses at Tannadice in that time and of course a Cup Final capitulation at Parkhead and it's pretty obvious that Tommy Wright has our number.

Saturday will be a massive test and we'll see exactly who wants to be at Tannadice beyond this season IMO.

If McGowan's out injured i'd go with...

................Cierzniak...........
Dillon...Morris..Fojut...Dixon
.........Souttar....Rankin......
..Erskine..Butcher..Ciftci...
...............Muirhead.........

Subs -
Szromnik
Spark
Connolly
Spittal
Telfer
Anier
Coote

thats probably our strongest team tek but sadly thats how brutaly bad we are at moment when erskine n butcher are probably two of our best players when if truth be told there both awful but such is the standard of spl at moment both are ok players

That record is really depressing. This has been one of the most frustrating things for me under Jackie's reign so far. With everything that has and is going on and even when we were rolling teams over Jackie still couldn't get one over stuffy St. Johnstone and the boorish Tommy Wright, but still Jackie refuses to play them at their own game. Well here is another chance, if Jackie manages to get a win here then he may just have gave me a glimmer of hope that he can maybe improve us.

Can someone tell me the purpose of Henri Anier? What a complete waste of a contract... and a 2.5 year one at that FFS!

We have the worst away form in the league, both in terms of results and goals for/against, and are ranked 12th over the last six matches.

St Johnstone are in a middling sixth position in for home form in both categories.

It points to a home win, even before considering Jackie's abysmal record against Tommy Wright.

Lol, if ever we need cheering up

I'm not going now but will put my admission fee on StJ and wait you see we'll scrape a win with a last minute winner from Anier

Re: St.Johnstone v's Dundee Utd - Saturday 9th May @3pm

I've went to the last 5 away games against St Johnstone.  Admission, petrol, money for a pint and food and took the young lad to at least 3 of them as well.  How many have we won? Zip.   Fucking ridiculous record and a total waste of money.  Really don't know if I'll go on Saturday tbh.  If we'd won last night I was definitely going but now I'm not sure if I'll bother.

Reckon if Muirhead scores again tomorrow and in the last two games he'll be away in the Summer to Celtic

2-1 United
