It takes me to catch up with the questions and answers, and I appreciate it must be a hard job, Sieb22, and Brian and 1/1/15 before him. Well done boys, but I dread to think how long it would take me to type out and answer some of these questions!

Just managed to get back online due to not so technical problems and unfortunately missed another great football fan Q&A. Would it be possible to extend the fan focus over the course of a week rather than an hour to give the questioner and awnserer plenty time to respond and hopefully fill every week of each year in the process.
Just thinking
Ps Sieby, what is your favourite Star Wars figure and did you indeed perform a han solo during said Ron Jeremy flick on the night watch and blame the mess on a faulty foam extinguisher after the station cleaner resuscitated you with a defibrillator?
Pps good luck Stevie McCrooner

Thank you St Obie. I am happy to keep on answering any questions till its Eurobob's turn next Friday if the gaffer allows it
To answer the first part of your question, my favourite Star Wars figure is a blue Snaggletooth who was in the cantina scene for 2 seconds. The reason why its my favourite was when I started collecting when I was younger, before ebay, it was always my holy grail. The character you see in the movie is a 'little person' in a red suit and dog faced mask, and when Star Wars game out in 1977 George Lucas was caught out by its popularity and didnt have a plan for action figures or the like. He quickly struck a deal with Kenner, but even then they couldnt produce any figures by the Christmas of that year, so much was the demand that they actually released an empty box...
Which had tokens to send away for the figures when they were ready in the new year. Imagine on Christmas morning getting an empty box! So when they were rushing making the figures Kenner produced a wrong figure of Snaggletooth who now was in a blue suit and was as tall as Chewbacca, this made it onto the cantina playset and was produced to just a few thousand before they rectified the mistake...
This was always the infamous figure in the pre-internet days, and the blue snaggletooth can go for between £150-£300 on ebay nowadays, while the red one goes for just £15-£20. The geek is strong in this one
As for the second part of your question, what goes on on the nightshift stays on the nightshift!

The Fan Q+A's will always be on a Friday night,'live' and for 1 hour from 8-9pm.
BUT
The thread/s will remain open so any stragglers can ask their question the following day or what have you.

Thank you both
Sieb were you the only Dundee United fan from your neck of the woods and have you since managed to persuade any others around your way to come along to Tannadice on a Saturday?

I grew up just outside Cupar in a wee village called Springfield (yes there was a family called Simpsons living there at one time, even had a girl called Lisa!), there are some fine Arabs of all ages who lived there when I was growing up. But my primary class was made up of only 13 of us and out of the 5 boys I was the only United fan.
At high school in my year group there was a nice small number of us, I think a few are now part of the Ceres Arabs, including my old friend Austin McPhee, who I last saw on TV the other week as part of the Northern Ireland backroom staff! He was mad into football and we used to go to the school football pitches called the Wetlands in our free time to practise his crossing and shooting just the two of us, I was a goalkeeper in my younger days hence the nickname Sieb.
As for managing to persuade other people to come along to Tannadice I think it must have only been my dad, who like I said was a Raith Rovers fan as he was born and bred in Kirkcaldy. When I first asked him to go to the football he said he would take me to Tannadice for one season if he could take me to Starks Park for the next season. Well my first full season following United we went all the way to the Scottish cup final against Motherwell in the 90-91 season. Then keeping my word I went to Raith Rovers who were in the old division 1 at the time for the 91-92 season. It was pretty dreadful, I couldn't even remember Craig Brewster playing for Raith back then it was so bad. After that my dad just took me to United games ever since. 1994 was a special year though as we both saw United lift the Scottish Cup against Rangers in May then in November we saw Raith Rovers beat Celtic in the Coca Cola Cup. Since then I always had a soft spot for the Rovers, more so now that my dad is no longer here.

Great stuff bud, did you ever grow a tash like Sieb, Ron Jeremy or Lando Calrissian or do the fire service rules still disapprove of facial hair because it could put you at serious risk to the fumes from a fire or Broonies wife's perfume in Jordans

Haha, the Mecca of all nightclubs that is known as Jordan's!! Love it. The best/worst nightclub in Fife. Spent many a night in there in my youth, probably because it was the closest to the cantina bar in Star Wars in real life!
We can grow mousers in the Fire Service and goatees, but not the Slade mutton chops. Just all to do with the breathing apparatus, if your facial hair comprises the seal of your BA mask then it obviously isn't allowed.
Fatima Whitbread can grow a moustache better than I can, I tried but it's all Adrian Mole type stuff, there's more hair on my nuts than I can grow on my upper lip

Great read, sorry to have missed this. Have had a nightmare getting my internet fixed.
Sieb if you are still up for answering a few questions:
If you could pick a season where you could play in a United squad, what one would it have been?
Who would play you in a big screen biopic of yourself?
If you could bring back something from the footballing past into the modern game, what would it be?
I see I'm up next

Of course, I can answer any more questions until its your turn on Friday mate!
Good questions...
My one season to play in a United Squad would be probably the 96-97 season, our first in the Premier League since we got promoted, we only got 1 point from our first 6 games, then Tommy McLean came in, bought Sieb, Kjell, Lars and Erik and we went on 6 game unbeaten run followed by a semi final and another 13 game unbeaten run. It was just such a great team to watch with some real spirit and passion personified by wee Erik. Obviously I wouldnt want to break up the dynamic so I would be a bench warmer. I would take one for the team! lol.
For who would play me in a big screen biopic of myself I would choose this guy...
Bruce Campbell. Mostly known for playing Ash in the Evil Dead movies.
And what I would bring back from the footballing past to today...
I miss the old stadiums that had some soul and identity instead of the identikit all seater 'insert sponsors name' stadiums that are around now. I know its not going to happen, so I would bring back crazy goalkeeper tops instead!
Looking forward to your Q&A on Friday Bob, its good fun, im sure you will enjoy it!
