been thinking about this since wednesday....is it a complete and utter waste of time?
like a couple of others (some i was with) on here this week, were totally blown away at the shear enormity of celtic park on wednesday...have been there before obviously, but there was something about the game midweek that struck me, something different...even though it was half full it screamed to me this was an establishment that dwarfs ours beyond the pale..
the last three games have had me take stock...EVEN though we get some decent players...they take....even though we could match them for periods in games they'll get the right decisions to make sure they'll progress
people say our game isn't corrupt...said to a lad in work this morning, if south african cricketers...top cyclists...high profile snooker players, european elite football clubs can get done for skullduggery your telling me a club that size can't be an influence over everything 10 times smaller?
i know i'm stating the obvious as regards to how we all feel about the old firm, it was highlighted the shear panic when the huns blew up..but there's nae masonic conspiracy anymore with rangers getting handers over celtic..its pure and simply there's far more money at stake at these two clubs over the rest of us
just thinking all week since Sunday...weighing it all up, the transfers, the officals, the lot.....is it a total bogey, waste of time, taking the pish out of us....or is it worth plodding along like some sassige celebrating the odd run of wins v partick and the likes of Killie?
probably havering pish, probably still hurting like fuck...but i'm seek oh it...

Same in nearly every league in Europe now bud......Champions League exactly the same.....pretty much every season it's the same teams competing for and winning trophies....UEFA should step in with proper financial fair play rules , but they won't.
Long for the day where the other 40 teams in Scotland would have the balls to finally say fuck you Celtic and Rangers we are breaking away from you , however , due to the greedy bastards in the boardroom that will not happen.
Game as we knew and loved it mate was ruined by SKY and will never return.
Still , and you khen, it winna keep us away from Tannadice on a Saturday and when we do eventually get that next Trophy it will be the best feeling ever

This ^^^^ 100% for me, especially second paragraph. Greedy bastards in boardroom don't even realise they're committing prolonged suicide.

It is a waste of time really. The whole fucking thing. One big massive carve-up.
But i stick with it because....well i'm really not sure anymore tbh.
The game as i knew it and fell in love with is long gone and gone forever. There was some aspect of competition back then and more of a level playing field.
Would take a person of real substance to speak out against the whole thing but the game up here is suffocated by fear and self-interest sadly.

Self interest has been the death knell of Scottish Football since 11/1 votes and Setanta.

Agree with everything BL said, money has fucked the game and its not gonna get better anytime soon.
Only way I can think of scottish football being truly competitive again would be letting the glasgow 2 go, saying fuck off to the tv money and getting back to 3pm every Saturday and getting punters through the gates again. Only problem is can the clubs afford to go this way, would force a fair amount of biggish clubs PT and they would still have stadiums to maintain, police/ stewards to pay etc.
Anybody got a winning euro millions ticket lying about?
It is still worth it tho, its DUFC after all.

When you think about it its Celtic supporters I feel sorry. Domestic success is almost a guarantee therefore it must get a bit boring almost 100 trophies. Want excites them is Europe and they have zero % chance there. just as we have no chance in the league. Us united fans get excited by the cups and there is a decent chance of future success. So its better to be a terror than a Tim.
