What differences were there between Craig Levien's management and Peter Houston's management?
Offline
That'll do thanks Lads.
Going to set-up (temporarily) a fake account for Danny so i can answer for him (i'll delete afterwards).
Will email the questions to Cadz over the next few days and write his answers for him on here verbatim.

Going to have this all written up hopefully over the weekend.
Some great detailed answers and interesting answers i have to say.
Top bloke is Cadz.

That is the Q+A/Interview officially OVER....lasted for about 2 hours tonight.Honestly lads what a top top guy and has a real love of our club.
I also asked him 5 other questions that weren't asked above as it went along...
Q.Did we give AEK Athens too much respect in the 1st leg?We seemed like a rabbit caught in the headlights in the first 20 minutes of that match but as the game wore on we were all over them.
AND
Was playing in Olympiakos huge cavernous stadium with just 500 Utd supporters in attendance the most surreal experience of your career/life?
Offline
Q.Who was the most talented player at Tannadice when you were there? (other than yourself of course Sir)
Offline
Q,Would you ever return to Dundee Utd in some capacity if the opportunity arose?Or are you+your family settled back in Yorkshire?
Offline
Q.Do you still follow Utd's fortunes and look out for their score at 4.50 on a Saturday?
Offline
And final question.............
Q.Will you be watching the Final against Celtic next weekend and do you think Utd have a realistic chance?
Offline
Ok have all 30 questions and answers in at last.
Have for the interests of the Q+A (and to make it seem more realistic) set-up a one off account on behalf of Danny (which i ran by him) and it will be deleted in a day or two after everyone has had a read of the Q+A/Interview.
My huge thanks to Danny who was an absolute gentleman throughout our communication+gave some great answers, and also,as ever,to Siebby22 (who first established contact with Cadz),an unsung hero on here.
I am now going to write Cadz's answers he gave me via Whatsapp,VERBATIM.
Great lad who very much has our club in his heart.
Anyone who see's him back up in Dundee in future, buy the man a pint.

Great scoop TEK.
I was a big fan of Cadamarteri, still often wonder what may have been if he'd been given more opportunities.
I'd like to know his thoughts on that. Why does he think his chances were so limited at United? It seemed to be the case more so under Houston. Was there a fall out there?
No fall out at all.
I got on really well with Peter,he was a good guy.He also involved me in the Scottish Cup Final squad which he didn't need to do as i had been injured longterm (with a dislocated shoulder).
I think Peter just wanted to start blooding a few younger players into the first team and he also knew my ambition was to go back to England at the end of my contract. So i guess he was trying to plan for the future.

Never touched Day Nurse in my life and stayed away from Night Nurse after my 6 month ban years previous.

Did he discuss with Duncan Ferguson about joining us?
Unfortunately not.
But i met Craig Levein 5 times and came to watch Dundee Utd 3 times in secret before deciding to join.

I'm gonna just ask my question/s in here too btw cos it's easier to just then hit quote and reply to it rather than write it all out later.
So my first question is ...
Danny what was the best player you played with?
AND
Against?
Best player i played with ability wise was Gazza.Amazing talent, even at the end of his career (at Everton).
Best player i played against was Jaap Stam of Manchester Utd.A man mountain and a fab player.

Danny, what is the equivalent league in England compared to the standard of the top flight in Scotland?
Where do you think United would finish in the English pyramid?
It's difficult to say with me not being there now,and with a weakened Celtic and an almost non-existent Rangers,Hearts and Hibs in the 2nd tier of Scottish Football.
When i was at Utd i felt the standard was a s follows.......
Top 6 (at the time) -
Rangers+Celtic = Bottom end EPL
Dundee Utd,Hibs,Hearts and Aberdeen = Mid table English Championship
The other teams in SPl would all be top end league 1 in England. So the league was a mixed variation, for me.

How big a part did Andy Webster play in the dressing room and in the run-up to the cup final after Craig Levein left the club?
Webby was a great lad to have in the dressing room,a good pro,and a good motivator.
He helped Houstie steady the ship along with the other senior pros at the time,Sean Dillon,Jon Daly and Scott Severin.

Danny why do you think David Goodwillie, Price Buaben, Morgaro Gomis, Garry Kenneth and Danny Swanson all struggled to make an impression in England whereas Craig Conway and Johnny Russell have done very well?
Very good question.
Gomis+Prince are both very quiet lads and shy characters and going to big cities and new surroundings will have been a big onus on them. Also the fact they were like Siamese twins,so once seperated in England,it was always going to be a struggle for them.
Goodie+Swanny both had indifferent spells in England, but both were still so young when they came here so you think moving from your friends+family as well as expectation levels to perform made it maybe too tough for them.
Kenza,i'm not really sure if he was ready to come to England. The club he went to is a big club in it's own right, with a lot of fan expectation level, and he was not used to being expected to perform at that level consistently at Utd,as he was in and out the team.
Craig and Johnny have both been revelations in England.I'm really pleased for both.I would just like to see them both take the next step now down here. They can do it.

how good a coach was houston tactically and was he hands on at training or did he leave that to other coaches
Houstie was a good coach but when he became Manager he had a lot of new things to learn (in a mangerial role),so he left a lot of the training to Heggy (who was also a good coach).

i know you now do alot of work and talks on racism so whats your opinion on when a player is guilty of using racist language the worst they get is ten game ban ie john terry luis suarez but if a fan is caught using racist language its a life ban from ground?
No,i don't think they got off lightly,as 10 games is a lot.
But also they should be given an opportunity as role models to show their fans they have learned from the error of their ways and show they can be good role models and set a good example 2nd time around.
Everyone makes mistakes and these two guys are talented people that should be given the chance to rectify their mistakes in view of the public eye.

Lol,I can't grow them back.(put wee baldy pic up on Whatsapp)
Hearts game was up there with one of my best debut, although my debut for Everton against Chelsea just pips it as it was my 1st ever pro game, and in the (English) Premier League.

What was Duncan Ferguson like to play with and what kind of personality was he in the dressing room and off the pitch?
He was CLASS to play with as everyone was too busy trying to stop the 'Beast' it meant i ended up with more space *laughing*.
Off the field he was quite a quiet guy.Read his pigeon books and that was really it...but as soon as he crossed that line ....*wee monkey shielding his eyes emoticon*
