It's not seemed to bother him so far, wage thieving useless cunt!

Right back position needs strengthening, at Freeman's age he should be playing everyweek. Either out on loan or off the books.
Denham and Birighitti will both be the first out, again the won't be hard to deal with for me.
Tilson can head back to RC, weve got to get someone with more technical ability.
Can't see Watt going.
The above will create a budget for a CM with a bit of dig, a right back who can also fill in at CH and a striker.
Birighitti won't be hard to deal with? Really? 🤣

The Meekison/Glass/ Mochrie thing:
Meekison: how much game time has he actually had to comment, Glass: does tend to drift in and out but for me there's an intelligent player there. Sometimes hes not given credit because he's moving into spaces and on two or three occasions he's tried audacioius long range chips when nothing else on. - Chips which if they'd sneaked in under the bar would have been pure class. Mochrie: don't get this criticism at all, he's scored two or three vital goals and earned us two or three vital points.
And as a collective, agree or disagree, take them out of the squad and we're threadbare. If you're no keen on them - tough tit, your'e stuck with them. Why are Mochrie and Meekison not getting much game time? There has to be a reason.
The fact they're behind Glass in the pecking order speaks volumes to me - Glass being a player who previously couldn't get much game time when punted out on loan to lower league teams.
I'm not taking away from their small contributions that they have made this season, but these guys are now in their early 20's and have not made an impact despite being around the first team fringes for what seems like long time. Maybe these guys are just not good enough and the only reason they are still getting a chance is sentimentality - i know I've been previously guilty of holding out hope that a youngster makes the breakthrough when all the signs point to that never being likely to happen.
If they make it then I'll happily accept the pus shutter that I deserve. I just can't see how these players go from mediocre bit part championship players to first team players in (hopefully) the Premiership.
Meekison being injured is probably affecting his game time 🤔

It's also possible for someone to tear you a new arsehole, so I guess if the new arsehole and the old arsehole are in very close proximity then they may well be considered a combined arsehole 😋
Well I think I've given far too much thought to this already so I'll leave it to any arsehole experts we may have? 🤣

Feckn stupid unneccesary clattering he took.
Trying (stress trying) to move on and look at bright side.
- We did put out a threadbare/spineless looking side.
- If we had to end unbeaten run better in this irrelevant distraction cup.
- Surely players (excl Sibbald McMann Walton) should get combined arseholes, which may not be a bad thing ?
- Surely the penny has dropped re Watt and particularly him as captain.
- Pleased to hear Newman was in u-21's squad , hopefully able replacement.
That said I dread another game on plastic where you're torn between the imperative of winning and the importance of not picking up injuries.
Wtf is a combined arsehole? My mind is boggled 🤣🤣

Madness if he was kept on the pitch whilst injured in that joke of a competition but ends up missing vital games.

Moult needs a start under his belt imo. I think we'll be back to usual front four. Queen of the south are terrible and their fans want Bartley out we really should be taking them to the cleaners on Saturday.
Agreed.
Strongest XI possible on Saturday please.
No underestimating the opposition or taking it lightly.
Agreed. Whilst the league is the primary objective, all clubs will be fielding full strength teams in the Scottish Cup so I'm not totally against the risk for this one. Also we have to dream don't we, it's around about time we won something again.

Wasn't having a go at you mate, it was just comments in general I saw after the game, particularly on Twitter.
I agree Glass and Mochrie need to prove now they are good enough, Mochrie in particular has not really had a run of games yet since he made his debut 4/5 years ago. Glass I would say has been pretty good overall this season so far when he's played, I suspect this is probably his level though. Has all the ability in the world but as somebody else said on the thread, its his physical attributes that let him down a bit.
Re Tilson, just think he is going to be the scapegoat when things go wrong. He's not exactly the greatest player I have ever seen in tangerine but he's certainly not the worst. Thought he did ok when he came on against Falkirk; played the simple ball and kept possession - same when he came on v Airdrie. He's was poor in the ICT game though. Would I keep him if we go up? no, but he's more than capable of doing a job this season if/when we need him.
Finally re Ross Graham, i honestly feel he's been shafted - in season 2021/22 when he came in an played as part of a back three he was excellent. Last season, when Mulgrew and Edwards were looking like they'd never seen a football before, he did not get a chance. I am not surprised he's went backwards - his confidence is probably in the gutter, never mind the fact he's hardly kicked a ball for 18 months so his sharpness and fitness are probably not where they should be at either.I agree re Graham. Still only 22 which is young for a CH but he does need to work on his physical attributes in terms of reaction speed and overall pace. Positioning and nous will only come with game time (which he is not getting). I don't think he and Holt are a good combination. Holt works well with Gallagher as Gallagher is happy to concentrate on the defensive duties first. When Holt leaves the defensive organisation to G

Beats me how Goodwin gives him the armband.
The only thing I can think on is after the supposed Mulgrew/Watt role in Ross departure Goodwin is keeping worst enemy close at hand, or mebbe he thought armband would bring out the best in him ?

I've long had my doubts about Glass but that was the final straw, he is simply not good enough.
Sadly, this is where i'm at too. Defended the wee man for ages and hoped he would come good, it's just not happening. And i've also came to the same point with Ross Graham. It's like his first 6 months at the club was some mad dream. The past 18 months though he has proven consistently to just not be good enough, even at this level.
…
And i hate to seem reactionary, but based on tonight i would have serious concerns about Mochrie too. He was awful.
We learned a lot tonight. not just about the team but certain players.
Tillson - Comes on when we are 2-1 up. 5 minutes later we are 4-2 down. Obviously not all his fault but symbolic for me of what he brings to the team. Not one tackle flew in btw in that mad 5/6 minute period where they blitzed us. That is meant to be his remit. Surely?
Graham - All over the place positionally and just looks slow at times.
Glass - Just weak as fuck and his passing (his supposed forte) was lousy.
Mochrie - Similar to Glass, just weak and ineffectual. Sloppy passing constantly too.
We all probably suspected the above. A wee bit more worrying for me was the performances of.
Holt - By miles his worst game for Utd and looked all over the place at times tonight alongside Graham.
Grimshaw - Got roasted off of Callum Morrison time and time again and done for pace.
Cudjoe - Just looks weak and tippy tappy again. Get the feeling his heads not at Utd.
Moult - Been really poor 3 games on the trot.
Middleton - Can't decide if his head went down early or if he chucked it. Either way he was God awful.
Bizarre comments from Goodwin too, saying the game was lost because we started so bad. Eh?
Yes, we started bad, but we were 2-1 up at half time. We lost because we never kicked a ball in the 2nd half and didn't look up for a fight.
Final thought on a rather gloomy night. 3 games in a r
