He barely congratulated Eskesen on his goal either whilst the rest of the team were delighted for him. I personally think it's shite behaviour regardless of his performance. He plays for United and we pay his wages so at least show a bit of joy at winning after a run of 4 defeats. So in our next game would you rather Sibbald puts in another man of the match performance towards a victory but doesn’t celebrate or another player takes his place, plays utter shite but celebrates wildly if we score?

Edit to add, I don't think Goodwin overly rates Sibbald despite him being one of our better players over the last few years and I wouldn't be surprised if he has agreed a move to Falkirk on a pre contract if they have made him feel wanted whilst Utd give no indication whether he has a future here or not. 

 
I want him to show commitment to the club paying his wages, is that difficult to understand? Dundee United mean far more to me than Craig Sibbald ever will so I'm not going to enter into a hypothetical argument with you based on ifs and maybes. I want a team thats committed to each other and I want players celebrating whether it's against their old/new team or not. If Craig Sibbald is more bothered about what Falkirk fans think than his own fans then I say fuck Craig Sibbald.

Is man of the match performances not showing commitment?

Sibbald was the best player on the park yesterday, to suggest he didn’t want anything other than a Utd win is fucking nonsense. It’s quite common to see players not celebrate against their former club (really fucking annoys me), but Falkirk is where Sibbald made his name. Whether he is here next season or not he is still offering far more than other members of the squad and is one of the first names on the team sheet for me

Every signing we make at our level is a gamble,we dont have the money for sure things. It's just a fact that folk need to get their heads around unfortunately. I dont know if he’s gonna be any good or not tbh but I'm gonna give him the chance to show what he can do, the bar set this season has not been a high one has it? The deal makes perfect sense to me tbh

 
St Johnstone just spent 120K today on the Queen’s Park young striker. Scottish championship spending bigger than us.

It’s absolutely pathetic and embarrassing.

They just took in more than double that for Sidibeh and even if Fowler would be a gamble at Premiership level he’s shown he can score at championship level and promotion will be worth a lot more than £120k so it’s almost a risk free signing for the johnnies

Too much of a gamble for AMB to start in goals, would put him in week after. Get Dolcek back in team (won’t happen). Toss up between KK and lovu for me.

Curious as to why you are so keen to get Dolcek back in the team, I know he is a talented player but he has made zero effort in any recent appearances and looks completely uninterested.

I was at Killie and St Mirren.  We were the better team at Killie and the game was evenly matched at the SMISA (like every game I have seen there - this one fortune fell their way - if Sapsford had scored his one on one then I think we go on to win that one).  I missed our good performance against The Rangers.

Our main issue is the defence.  Both keepers look prone to the odd error or two and Bert doesn't win enough aerials for me to be the main CH.  Ross Graham will help the latter point, but it is clear he's going to need a few games to get up to match level and also to get to know playing with his new teammates in a match scenario. We  need to stop losing soft goals. Goodwin managed that last year with a boy who is currently rooting Ross County to the bottom of the Championship (not to mention last years best midfielder).  

There is a wee bit of a panic due to form, but knee-jerk reactions from Ogren are not what we need.  My confidence of him choosing someone better than Goodwin for the role is at zero.  We need to remember what Goodwin has done behind the scenes as well as on the park.  For that he gets more time for me.  Top six looks beyond us at the moment, but consolidation as the best of the rest is good enough for me this season.  Significantly below that and questions will rightly be asked and relegation = inevitable regime change.

I think we probably need a keeper in January although I'm OK with Kuch coming back if his confidence isn't shot.

 

Pretty much spot on but not sure I agree regarding Kuch, he just cant seem to cope with how physical the Scottish game is (although there was nobody near him as he punched in against Falkirk), and I dont think we can afford to gamble on the goalkeeping position as we have seen in the past how that can end up.
